I love that Cruz and Hathaway got recognized, along with director David Fincher (although this could be a sign that he'll have the same fate as last year's surprise winner: Tim Burton). The biggest surprise here, though, is Clint Eastwood taking the best actor award. Maybe Gran Torino isn't the laughable mess the trailer makes it out to be.....

The top ten (in alphabetical order):
“Burn After Reading”
“Changeling”
“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”
“The Dark Knight”
“Defiance”
“Frost/Nixon”
“Gran Torino”
“Milk”
“WALL-E”
“The Wrestler”

Not too many surprises here, with the exception of those first two. I'm surprised that the NBR liked Burn After Reading that much, and Changeling's inclusion...is just horrifying. Defiance is also a shocker.

Top five foreign films (in alphabetical order):
“Edge of Heaven”
“Let the Right One In”
“Roman de Guerre”
“A Secret”
“Waltz with Bashir”

Top five documentary films (in alphabetical order):
“American Teen”
“The Betrayal”
“Dear Zachary”
“Encounters at the End of the World”
“Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired”
